离子源（Ion Source），顾名思义，发射离子的。俗称离子枪。又因通常用Ar作为工作气体，发射出Ar+，所以也称氩枪。高能量的Ar+（几百到几千eV）轰击到样品表面，可以对样品表面起到清洁作用，是超高真空系统中最常用的样品溅射清洁装置。
